Customer Review: simple elegance
After reading all the reviews, I contemplated about purchasing the dress for more than 1 month before actually ordering it. The price is really hard to beat and the style is simple but elegant and unique. I particularly like the small train that fans out with the bead works. I am a petite 5′2″ weighing <115. I was not sure if I should order the small or medium so I wrote and asked the sales people and they suggested me a small which turned out to fit me quite well except for the length. The dress is a few inches too long for me even with my 2inch-high heel.

Customer Review: Great, great, great dress!
I ordered this dress for my beach side wedding in Tortola, BVI and it fit me perfectly. No alterations needed…at all!! If you are hippy though, you may need to buy a bigger size..fortunately, I am not. When I walked down the coconut groved aisle to stand next to my new husband, he was just smiling and staring at me and whispering about how pretty I looked…till they had to call his attention back to saying his vows! Get this dress!! If you like simple elegance, this is it! And for the price, excellent.

Customer Review: Very nice, sturdy knife
I got one of these when it went on sale, and paid a low price. So I didn’t hesitate when the need arose to treat it rough. I had to open some steel banding on a pallet (the kind where the steel bands get perforated and bonded together with a crimping tool, not an extra clasp). Using a 15 pound wooden post, I hammered the flathead screwdriver into the crimped steel. (if it folded, that would have hurt) Pow! The knife emerged looking nearly new. The steel band, not so much. Recommended. As one other reviewer mentioned, the philips head screwdriver on this is on the side, and kinda sucks. But the locking knife and locking flathead let you do things with this knife you simply cannot do with a regular swiss army knife. In addition to the fact that 2 of the blades lock, both of them are quite a bit sturdier than the blades on a standard Victorinox knife. Also I’ve used the can opener, which is also sturdier than on a standard knife, and it works very smoothly.
Customer Review: GREAT KNIFE
let me tell you something this is the best knife in the whole world. i just got this yesterday and i have used it like 20 times. really great knife. it is really solid and nice

Victorian Leather and Lace Wedding Boot

Victorian Leather and Lace Wedding Boot
A new twist for a western wedding boot. Leather and lace treatment to accent your wedding day attire but with a 2 3/4 heel that is broader than the normal high heel. Heel base is approximatly 1 inch square so you have a bit more stability as you wear these boots. Ivory is item 62966. black is item 62964. All leather boot imaged next to leather and lace is no longer available. Import.

Customer Review: Very nice !
We received these boots after more than one month because auf custom problems. But it was worth it. They have a good look and feel. Moreover you can be sure that the weight is exactly like that what you have ordered. I can’t say this of the boots which are shown on the picture above. We ordered the closed boots version in ivory. But we received boots which were not really ivory colored, the color looks like a pearlmutt metallic. Second we didn’t receive a closed version in full leather, the boots we received look like the white pair on the right with the draped insert.

But in the end we can say, that these boots are beautiful, too. You can’t buy a style like this in Germany, these boots are really unique. And they are very comfortable despite of a 3 inch heel.

Customer Review: Beautiful
Very well made and true to size. Very much worth the money. I saw them other places for as much as $180!!! Beautiful and comfortable.

Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD Pocket Knife, Red From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago comes this classic version of the pocket knife. It contains six tools that put life in order again when they’re needed. Measuring just 2-1/4 inches long–less than a pack of gum–and sheathed in red plastic, the Classic pocket knife is a toolbox and manicure kit small enough to fit into a pocket. (It also comes with a key ring.) Stainless-steel tools contained inside are a knife blade, scissors, a nail file with a screwdriver tip, a removable plastic toothpick, and removable tweezers. –Fred Brack
Customer Review: Great Gift & Everyday Tool for Yourself
I have had one of these on my key chain for over 15 years now; it’s only been replaced 3 times and I use it almost daily. It comes with a removable plastic toothpick and tweezers. I love having a toothpick handy after eating out somewhere and the tweezers work very well. The tweezers do not have the strongest grip because they are very thin and therefore a bit flexible, but I have never had them fail to work and they have very sharp edges for getting out the finest hair and/or splinter.

The knife and fingernail file/screwdriver are obviously useful in many instances; the only problem I’ve ever had is that if you are trying to remove/loosen a very tight screw it might close on you if you press too hard. The implements do not ‘lock’ into place, so you have to use some caution.

The scissors were originally my primary reason for purchasing these and are fine enough to help trim your cuticles and strong enough for smaller cuts. They are definitely not super strong but definitely cut paper and thin plastic easily.

Overall, these are a terrific gift for just about anyone and a great purchase for yourself. I’ve seen them in the store for upwards of $14 but you can get these for less frequently on sale at Amazon.
Customer Review: Too small for daily usage
I didn’t know a knife can be made this small until I got the shipment. It is too small to be used to peel the apples. It ended up disappearing in my son’s toy box.

I suggest you read the specification carefully before place an order.

$40 for two relatively cheap plastic garment bags was a bit pricey. I probably should have shopped around a little more, but I was in a hurry.

On the plus side, they did arrive fairly quickly.

The Wedding Date MINT Condition! Shrink wrapped and 100% guaranteed. Previewed. This item is free of all rental stickers and is of Gift Quality.
Customer Review: Spend your money on the book instead…
This is one of the most boring movies I’ve ever seen. The story is vaguely - VERY vaguely - based on Liz Young’s bestseller “Asking for Trouble”, but if I were Liz Young, I’d be ashamed to be credited in this movie.
The storyline of The Wedding Date just never managed to catch me. It just dragged along, with mostly caricaturelike characters, of which none ever was really sympathetic. At the best they were unbelievable. All the hilarious and exciting twists and turns from the book were flattened out, and everything was as predictable as it was stupid. Add far from convincing acting to this extremely boring storyline, and you get the perfect recipe for a dead movie.
My advice: stick with the book. It’s a thousand times funnier and a million times better: totally unpredictable, and with sympathetic, recognizable and complete characters.

Customer Review: He is soooo good looking!
Dermot is so good looking in this movie. This is one of the first movies that Debra Messing has played in and she is hilarious! She is great in “Will and Grace” but really shines on the big screen. If you need a movie with a great plot, hot actors, and a onscreen romance, then this movie is for you!

The Wedding Planner The good news is, yes, Jennifer Lopez can do comedy. In The Wedding Planner Lopez is Mary, a lovable woman who believes “those who can’t do, teach. Those who can’t wed, plan!” Her slapstick moments are lighthearted and she is spot-on as the controlling, compulsive-yet-sweet planner. The bad news is Lopez didn’t get much of a vehicle in which to test drive her newfound comedic skills.

Mary’s life is her career. Planning other people’s weddings takes all of her time, leaving no room for a love life of her own. Her only personal life is a Scrabble club, to which she and her father (Alex Rocco, whose wandering Italian accent is painful to listen to) belong. When a handsome young doctor (Matthew McConaughey) saves her from a collision with a runaway dumpster (really, it works), she is instantly wooed by his quiet charm. Too bad he’s the fianc? of Mary’s biggest client, Fran (played winningly by Bridgette Wilson-Sampras), the job that will launch Mary as a partner in her firm.

The main problem with this film is that no one wants to hurt anyone else’s feelings. Everyone is just so gosh-darn nice. In a subplot, Mary’s father is trying to arrange her marriage to just the nicest Italian boy. Gee, he’s sweet. Golly, Fran is nice. Is there ever a way out of this mess and to leave everyone smiling? Yet, there is a touch of old-fashioned romance to this wholesome film, which can only be described as “cute.” And while things may unfold in a predictable manner, The Wedding Planner is still lighthearted fun of the sort that inspires dreamy romantic thoughts. –Jenny Brown
Customer Review: Interesting twist on the regular romance story
This is an interesting romance movie, seeing that the wedding planner ends up with the groom.
It’s not my favorite movie but it’s worth adding to the collection.
The comedy in it is subtle and that’s why I didn’t rate it higher.
Customer Review: Ugh
This, for me, is one of the worst romantic comedies I’ve ever seen. Its so mundane and unoriginal and completely not funny. Jennifer Lopez is a one character actor. Honestly. There is no range with her. People pay money to see her films, but really, they are just watching the same movie over and over again. Everyone who watches this movie will know what will happen at the end. Its a given. There is no need for obstacles or pointless drama. Romantic comedies are *almost* all the same. Same characters, same ending. However, what makes this one even more unbearable is the fact that once again, Jennifer Lopez is in it. Even Matt Mcconaughey can’t salvage this.

The Wedding Singer: Music From The Motion Picture Sounding like a flashback of the first few years of MTV, the soundtrack of The Wedding Singer starts as an intended goof and ends up quite listenable, thanks. While a couple of these songs (Musical Youth’s “Pass the Dutchie” in particular) had already fallen off the cultural radar by 1985, when the movie’s action takes place, what’s most impressive is the staying power most of them hold. If anything, the Psychedelic Furs’ “Love My Way” sounds even better than it did then, and of course “How Soon Is Now,” and “Blue Monday” are classics that have transcended their era: Just ask Matt Pinfield. Or Adam Sandler. Or Steven Morrissey. –Rickey Wright
Customer Review: sound
not much to say i bought this since i had the outher cd and it bhas a couple songs i liked.
Customer Review: If you like the movie the sound track is fun
I don’t often buy sound tracks but this movie is fun and I like the songs but not enough to buy the CD’s of the artists envolved here.

This dress is absolutely gorgeous. It’s tightly woven and extremely soft; very high quality. It arrived early, nicely packaged, and unwrinkled. It is a true fit and my daughter loves that it’s not “itchy” as many dresses of this type are. I would recommend this dress to anyone. We’re using it as a flower girl dress, but it could fit many occasions. Thank you!!

Elliott Yamin Elliott Yamin’s debut is so agreeable and well-executed it may well convert hardened R&B experts–the kind who’d normally distance themselves from a disc with a TV pedigree. With sincerity and a voice that vaults itself to places no talent-show contestant should be able to go, Yamin bares his soul here in a way that would do his hero, Donny Hathaway, proud. Tracks like “Take My Breath Away” and “You Are the One” find him twisting a wrench around love-stained lyrics; “I’m the Man” and “Find A Way” flow with hat-in-hand grace (and, in the case of the latter, a scat worthy of a vintage jazz stage); and opener “Movin’ On” immortalizes the season five judges’-table words of Paula Abdul: Ellliott Yamin is “one funky white boy.” As he proves with this five-star album, he is also among the most gifted artists ever to a turn a stint on the show into a recording career. –Tammy La Gorce
Customer Review: Awesome!!
Love every song. Bought the cd. Saw he was coming in concert and got tickets. All the songs live sound even better!! GO ELLIOTT!!!
Customer Review: Download a song instead….
I love his song “wait for you” I was very excited to get his CD. I thought the sound quality was good. I found the rest of the song choices disappointing. Save your money and download the song you like.

Facing Future There’s a smart balance of traditional Hawaiiana and contemporary tunes on this CD. There’s heart-tugging warmth along with unexpected chuckles. The end result is a candid, honest reinforcement of his vocal breadth.
Customer Review: Beautifully simple
This beautiful clear voice gives me goosebumps, especially Hawaii ‘78. We just returned from another trip to Hawaii and appreciate more the “old” Hawaii that is lamented about in this song. He is truly a treasure.

Bodum Assam 32-Ounce Tea Press Who knows more about tea than the British? When the British Tea Council asked Bodum to develop a new way of brewing tea, the result was this unique press that’s almost as much fun to look at as it is to use. Simply fill the strainer with tea leaves and add boiling water–a slow process, but well worth the time. (You could also use tea bags, but why would you want to?) The clear jug lets you see the tea as it’s steeping, allowing you to customize its strength to your taste. When the tea is strong enough, slowly depress the plunger to stop the brewing. You won’t have any tea leaves to read at the bottom of your cup, but there’s no mess and no need to remove the strainer before you pour. But be forewarned: the Bodum press doesn’t retain heat quite as well as a traditional teapot, so you might want to use a tea cozy if you’re not drinking the whole pot in one sitting. It’s a shame to cover up such a beautiful design, but that’s the way the tea leaf tumbles. –Mary Park
Customer Review: Press - NOT
I thought this would be more like the coffee press, which I really liked. This thing doesn’t press the tea at all, since the rod doesn’t go to the bottom. Taste of the tea is not nearly as good as when brewed by my previous method. Am trying to think up some other use for it, but so far no ideas. Seems like a singularly useless product.
Customer Review: A cheap product
It is a cheap made-in-China junk. My wife spotted the same product for $10 at Ross.

Customer Review: Good but not perfect
I purchased this bag in order to travel with and store my ministerial regalia. The bag will be great for storage but I don’t think it will be good to use for travel. Other than that it is probably great for storage and it gives plenty of room to avoid wrinkles.

Customer Review: Great Garment Bag
This product was just what was promised, I keep my wedding dress in it and it’s perfect.

Bodum Chambord 12-Ounce Coffee Press Serious coffee lovers agree that the best way to brew everyone’s favorite stimulant is also the simplest and quickest. The French press method prevents scorching of the beans, and because there’s no filter involved, all of the flavorful oils stay in your drink. Simply measure out one rounded tablespoon of coarse ground per 4-ounce cup, pour very hot (not boiling) water over it, let the contents brew for at least 4 minutes, then slowly depress the plunger. The result is one of the richest cups of java you’ll ever taste. This attractively designed Bodum press is the perfect size for one person’s morning fix. Because the carafe is glass, it’s best to use a little care when handling the press in the sink–but if it should break, don’t panic: Bodum offers replacement parts. –Mary Park

From the Manufacturer

When Bodum took over a small clarinet factory in Normandy in 1982, it was not because of the fine orchestra clarinets they were producing. In addition to musical instruments, the factory also produced the coffee of a relatively-unknown brewer called “The Chambord.” Bodum combined the skills of these Normandy craftsmen with modern production. The result was a unique culinary tool, affordable to the many who loved the taste of what we now know as French press coffee.

Thanks to Bodum, and thanks to the increasing need for better coffee, the French press coffee maker has become one of the most popular in the world. Yet, the design has not strayed a bit from the original drawings, and Bodum still makes the Chambord with the same painstaking care and knowledge they gained from those Normandy craftsmen years ago. The ease of brewing and the delicious smell and taste of French roasted dark coffee have remained unchanged.

Awards & Accolades

In 2004, the Bodum Chambord coffee press received The American Culinary Institute’s award for best French press coffeemaker.

The American Culinary Institute judges food preparation products such as mixers, waffle makers and electric teakettles. These products are judged on criteria important to consumers such as ease-of-use, safety, and the quality of the food produced. They also judge food preparation products used in restaurants and hotels, including institutional mixers, large volume coffee machines and food slicers.

Instructions for Use

1. Place pot on a dry, flat, non-slip surface. Hold handle firmly, then pull the plunger straight up and out of the pot.

2. For each 1,25 dl/4 oz. cup, put 1 rounded tablespoon or 1 Bodum scoop of coarse ground coffee into the pot.

Caution: Use only coarse ground coffee. Fine grind can clog the filter and create high pressure. Place coffee maker on a heat proof, non-slip surface.

3. Pour hot (not boiling) water into the pot. Leave a minimum of 2,5 cm/1 inch of space at the top. Stir the brew with a plastic spoon.

Caution: Metal spoons can scratch or chip the glass beaker and cause breakage.

4. Place the plunger unit on top of the pot. Turn lid to close off the pour spout opening. (Does not apply to the Brazil models) Do not press down. Let the coffee brew for at least 4 minutes.

5. Hold the pot handle firmly with the spout turned away from you, then using just the weight of your hand, apply slight pressure on top of the knob to lower the plunger straight down into the pot. Lowering the plunger slowly with minimal pressure produces best results. If the filter clogs or it becomes difficult to push down the plunger you should remove the plunger from the pot, stir the brew and then slowly plunge again.

WARNING: Using excessive force can cause scalding liquid to shoot out of the pot.

6. Turn the lid to open the pour spout and then pour coffee.

7. Unscrew the filter assembly and clean the plunger unit after each use. All parts are dishwasher safe.

Company History

In 1944, Peter Bodum, the father of today’s owner, Joergen Bodum, started Bodum in Copenhagen Denmark. Times were difficult at the end of World War II; there was hardly any trade and people were out of work. Peter Bodum managed to wholesale a very small variety of houseware products by Danish manufacturers.

After the war, Peter Bodum got an import license for kitchen and tabletop products; he traveled all over Europe and ended up importing kitchen and houseware to Denmark. As in the rest of Europe in those days, a lack of products in Denmark meant a market existed for almost anything to be sold. He specialized in glassware from Eastern Europe.

In the fifties, Peter Bodum started developing his own products. He collaborated with the Danish architect Kaas Klaeson for a range of coffee makers. At the time, industrial design type kitchen products were very rare. The first Bodum product to hit the market in 1958 was the Santos coffeemaker - based on a vacuum coffee brewing system. It became an instant sensation not only in Denmark but in all of Europe. Bodum still produces the original Santos design to this very day.

Bodum grew steadily during the sixties but sadly, in 1967, at the age of only 57, Peter Bodum passed away. His wife managed the company until 1974, when she offered her 26-year-old son Joergen to join her in the management of the company. Joergen quickly brought Carsten Joergensen on board - then a teacher at the Danish School of Art in Copenhagen–and soon put him in charge of overall design for Bodum, including everything from products to corporate design, exhibitions, shops, buildings, catalogues and advertising. It turned out to be a very long and fruitful collaboration. The two men began to fulfill Bodum’s credo–”good design doesn’t have to be expensive”–in lots of different ways.

In 1974, the first fruit of Joergen and Carsten’s collaboration was introduced: the French coffee press Bistro. It was also the first incorporation of the new Bodum design language - beautiful simplicity and excellent materials for everyday life. Many more variations of coffee presses followed. Since 1974, Bodum has produced over 50 million French presses, taken the leap from “coffee” to “kitchen” and developed and produced a large variety of beautiful household and tabletop designs.

In 1979, when he took over the company, Joergen Bodum decided to move to Switzerland in order to be more centrally located in Europe. He chose the Lucerne area, where Bodum’s head office has been located since the early eighties.

In 1980, Bodum Switzerland and its design unit, Pi-Design, were founded. Then, in 1986, the opening of Bodum’s first shop in London marked another milestone in the Bodum history. It was designed not only to be the perfect showcase for the large variety of Bodum products but to embody an even stronger presentation of Bodum as an international brand. Many more shops in many more cities all over the world followed: Paris, Copenhagen, Zurich, Lucerne, Tokyo, New York, Dallas, Okinawa, Auckland and many more. To this day, there are 52 Bodum stores worldwide.

With more and more of its own stores in place, Bodum continued broadening its collection of beautifully designed everyday life products–from kitchen to home. Today, Bodum offers its customers everything from the latest coffee and tea making products to tabletop, kitchen, storage, textiles, bathroom and home office products. Some stores also have a caf? where Bodum’s own selection of coffees and teas are served.

The Bodum Group is, and always has been, a 100% family-owned business. Today the company operates in 14 different countries with over 700 employees worldwide. Bodum has holding companies in Denmark and Switzerland as well as twelve sales companies, three production companies and a design company called Bodum Design Group, located in Switzerland.
Customer Review: Perfect single serving
I use this every single day and it is perfect for me. You can control the strength of the coffee easily, and the size is ideal. I fill it up once, pour half into my cup, and then add another 4 ounces of water, so I get about 12 ounces out of it per brew. Infinitley better than bulky coffee makers that don’t make the coffee as delicous. Definitly recommend this item.
Customer Review: Flawed components
The glass beaker of the first press that I recieved was broken at the base when I recieved it. This breakage was in spite of no apperent damage to the box it came in. I contacted Amazon and they promptly sent a replacement.

The beaker of the replacement press was fine and I use the press for making tea three or four time during the first 24 hours in my posetion. I was mindful to be careful of the beaker during handling. Then on the last usage I noticed a crack extending the lenght of the the beaker. The second beaker had also failed!

Nice idea but execution is badly flawed and a better, more robust beaker design is needed. I would not give it any star but that would look like I had not rated it.
